God Made me That Way?

We live in a day and age where many people are opting out of accountability for there actions and are rather presenting the notion that when faced with various character flaws its easier to say, “God made me that way” or “I was born that way.” And it seems to be a slippery slope to give someone the green light to continue down the path they choose as if they now have “Gods blessing” to not change and continue with the same actions or behavior. Yeah, let’s not get too comfortable. You just moved into the house of righteousness and we have a lot to unpack.


Ecclesiastes 7:13 KJVS

Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?


This is that “AH, HA” moment some people are having right now. Gotcha! Well this certainly seems to add fuel to the fire right? To top things off more, who can MAKE straight what GOD has MADE CROOKED right? So nail in the coffin! God made me gay! God made me a pedophile! God made me prideful! God made me wicked! STOP hold up, ice cream and cake. Who said this was making reference to man? How many different things did God create? And how can you assume God MADE MAN crooked? It says, “consider the work of God.” Yeah, last I checked, God has a pretty extensive portfolio. Maybe you should reread Genesis chapter one and two for starters. But wait theirs more!


Wisdom of Solomon 11:17-18 KJVA

17 For thy Almighty hand, that made the world of matter without form, wanted not means to send among them a multitude of bears or fierce lions,

18 Or unknown wild beasts, full of rage, newly created, breathing out either a fiery vapour, or filthy scents of scattered smoke, or shooting horrible sparkles out of their eyes:


God made the world itself; that is the earth… From scratch, then he made everything in the world in stages. Yeah, plenty of room for many crooked things. And who said God stopped creating anything after day six in Genesis? Boy we can really assume a lot if we don’t do our due diligence can’t we? So lets name a couple of crooked things contextually.


Job 26:13 KJV

By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.


Oh, that’s right! A snake is a crooked animal that God made crooked! Ain’t no way you’re about to teach a snake otherwise. Will you teach a snake how to hop? Maybe how to inch forward instead of slither? What about bark instead of trying to sneak up on its prey unsuspectingly? Yeah, this is an example of how you cannot make straight what God has made crooked.


Sirach 39:28 KJVA

28 There be spirits that are created for vengeance, which in their fury lay on sore strokes; in the time of destruction they pour out their force, and appease the wrath of him that made them.


Some spirits; that is, angels. He created for vengeance. There job, there purpose is to destroy, hurt, kill. That is it. They were made; programmed to operate that way.


Psalm 78:49 KJV

He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.


That may be a culture shock to some. We talk about angels being these “good” celestial beings but we don’t really use the term “evil angles” too much do we? Most probably never. I mean who says, “we have pie and evil pie?” Or “pizza and evil pizza?” But good and evil begins to change when you begin to understand God’s definition of both. God made good angels and he made evil angels. Which the latter of course being synonymous to evil spirits, or devils. Who of course were made to do… You guessed it! Evil! They were made crooked to do evil. Now are you going to make or convince an evil spirit to do good? No! You’re not! God uses them as he sees fit. I mean that was why he made them.


Judges 9:23 KJV

Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech:


Exhibit “A” (which is really exhibit “B” but just go with it) God sent an evil spirit.


1 Samuel 19:9 KJV

And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.


Exhibit “B” God sent an evil spirit.


Sirach 39:29-31 KJVA

29 Fire, and hail, and famine, and death, all these were created for vengeance; 30 Teeth of wild beasts, and scorpions, serpents, and the sword punishing the wicked to destruction. 31 They shall rejoice in his commandment, and they shall be ready upon earth, when need is; and when their time is come, they shall not transgress his word.


God can use spirits to work through these things to plague man as he sees fit. As all these things were created for vengeance. To punish the wicked (or even the righteous if they choose to sin or act wicked). And this is where we start making sense of things and get to our next point. Which will be revealed below.


Luke 7:19-22 KJVS

And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? [20] When the men were come unto him, they said, John the Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? [21] And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. [22] Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.


Now we see how John the Baptist sent two of his disciples to Yahawashi. Notice while with him, they witnessed how he cured many of their infirmities, plagues and evil spirits. Which lets you know, 1. Those evil spirits can dwell within you. 2. Those evil spirits take the form of something. That can be a spirit of jealousy, or anger but can also manifest as something else like blindness, or something else physical or spiritual. And even other diseases. An evil spirit is just a generalization but that evil spirit is something in particular. Like a spirit of addiction, specifically smoking.


John 9:1-2 KJVS

And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. [2] And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?


Now we are cooking with grease. Notice, this man was born blind! He was born with a plague or infirmity of his eyes that he could not see. But what is physical is also spiritual. And this condition was understood to be a curse due to sin, by the actions of either ones parents or they themselves. But if born in that state how could he have sinned being but a baby? It was because the baby was just born but the spirit in the baby was reborn. Our forefathers knew eventually you come back. And based on your past life you can be rewarded either evil or good based on your actions, need they be just or wicked.


Sirach 15:20 KJVA

He hath commanded no man to do wickedly, neither hath he given any man licence to sin.


For as many times people say, “God made me this way.” The scriptures speak against it. The Most High did not command man to be wicked or say I gave him a pass to be wicked it is okay for him to act how he wants to act. No one has license or permission to be how they want to be or act how they want to act without consequence. You have a choice every moment of every day to choose how you will respond or act.


Genesis 4:3-10 KJVS

And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. [4] And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: [5] But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. [6] And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? [7] If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. [8] And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. [9] And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? [10] And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.


Cain was upset because his offering was not accepted. And it was much less about the type of offering they brought but rather the spirit they were in due to the lifestyle each was living. Notice God told Cain IF you do well, IF you do right I will accept you. Which lets him know that God loved him enough to give him the opportunity to change his lifestyle. And the beauty in it was that if he would have changed he would have been accepted! It would have been all good! I would love and admire you the same way I do your brother. But did he accept that? No, he decided to do the most. He decided that he no longer cared to be accepted of buy The Most High God. So his actions and attitude got worse. Even to the point of murdering his brother.


Ecclesiastes 7:29 KJVS

Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.


Nail in the coffin. You will only find that God made man upright, Man was not designed crooked. But it was man that chose to seek out many inventions; many wicked devices. No matter how strong or weak you may feel it never takes away from the ability you have at the end of the day to choose.


Proverbs 2:11-17 KJVS

Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: [12] To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things; [13] Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; [14] Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked; [15] Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths: [16] To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words; [17] Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.


The cold part is, an evil man or woman isn’t seen as one who was made that way. But rather seen as one that left off from being righteous. They chose to forget God and what he said do and walk how they want to walk. Abandon righteousness and choose wickedness. This is how you end up like this.


Lamentations 3:1-9 KJVS

I am the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath. [2] He hath led me, and brought me into darkness, but not into light. [3] Surely against me is he turned; he turneth his hand against me all the day. [4] My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones. [5] He hath builded against me, and compassed me with gall and travail. [6] He hath set me in dark places, as they that be dead of old. [7] He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy. [8] Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer. [9] He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.


God wants you to do right but if you choose wrong you can end up in this state. You get afflicted by him and he isn’t dealing with you. His hand is against you. He doesn’t care for your prayers.


Isaiah 45:1-7 KJVS

Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; [2] I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: [3] And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. [4] For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me. [5] I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: [6] That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. [7] I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.


Now if you flip it around and you become righteous then the opposite happens. God goes before you and fights for you instead of against you. He will make your paths straight instead of crooked. He will guide you in light instead of darkness. God forms the dark and the light but which you receive of him is based on your actions. Cause and effect.


Romans 1:20-24,28 KJVS

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: [21] Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. [22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, [23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. [24] Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:


Man had no excuse to be wicked. Man has been in a place where things are clearly set before them but they choose to find a way to deny it. So you become puffed up and vain in your thoughts and reasoning. Trying to be wise and sound smart you end up making a fool of yourself, deceiving yourself and others. At which point, God has no problem sending you evil angels and spirits to help you on your path. If you wanna be wicked cool, be as wicked as you wanna be.


Romans 1:25-27 KJVS

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. [26] For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: [27] And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.


Changing the truth, what is good, what is factual into lies, vanity and falsehood. But notice the pattern. IF YOU forsake God, THEN God will forsake YOU. You are the one that chooses which way God will direct you and your life.


Romans 1:28-32 KJVS

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; [29] Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, [30] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, [31] Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: [32] Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.


You have to desire to retain God in your mind and life else, if you choose to do the opposite God will choose to give you over to a reprobate mind. Now you justify sin, now you love sin. Whatever your sin or vice may be. Now you have vices. And those spirits overtake you.


1 Corinthians 6:9-11 KJVS

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, [10] Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. [11] And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.


For anyone who is not moving right you have time and an opportunity to change sincerely to be accepted of God. Else you won’t make it into his kingdom. And for us that are sincerely walking this path you chose to repent to clean ourselves up so that God can work with us to help us in the areas we are weak so we can make it to his kingdom.


Ephesians 4:17-19 KJVS

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, [18] Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: [19] Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.


Let us labor and fight to walk not as the other nations or our people in the world cut off or separated from God. But let us move with fear watching every step we take down the path of righteousness in sincerity and in truth.



Ephesians 4:20-27 KJVS

But ye have not so learned Christ; [21] If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: [22] That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; [23] And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; [24] And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. [25] Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. [26] Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: [27] Neither give place to the devil.
