Matthew 24:13 KJVS
[13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Many of us read this scripture, yet so many of us gloss right over some of the key words necessary to allow the understanding to resonate in our spirit. Why didn’t Christ just say, if you do good for a season you will be saved? Because some words convey a better understanding to more precisely give an answer or send a message. Hence the reason he said endure until the end. Which we will get in the Strongs Concordance.

Strong's Definition
From G5259 and G3306; to stay under (behind) that is remain; figuratively to undergo that is bear (trials) have fortitude persevere: - abide endure (take) patient (-ly) suffer tarry behind.
Endure gives us a plethora of definitions, yet they are all one. Why “stay under”? Because to endure can mean to stay under a load and carry a burden until you reach your destination. Especially, if that load is needed to get you there. It might just be that extra oil. You even have “remain”. You must stay the course and remain on the road. You can’t go off track or go off road, lest you go in a whole different direction or get lost. “Bear” is a good one. A bear is a large animal and not so easily caught, or killed. At least on a one on one fight. To have to wrestle with a bear is a fight for your life. The same can be said with bearing one’s burdens. If you have to carry two small children over your head to cross a small beaten up old bridge to get to safety, that if they crossed by themselves they may fall and die. You can’t just put them down, even if they become heavy. You must endure the pain in your shoulders, your arms, back, legs, and anywhere else to ensure you and they make it. With the hope of getting across as your guide, knowing with every step you get closer and closer and eventually it will come to an end.
It also gives us “to have fortitude”. When you look at the word fortitude one of the things you may immediately notice is the word fort, or you may think of fortify. When you have a fort you have a defense in place prepared for any attack that may come. To fortify, is to improve those defensive capabilities to make them even stronger. You must do the same for you. You must have mental and emotional strength to endure the events that will come about in your life and that you may encounter on this walk. I think the word that comes closest and most synonymous to endure is “persevere”. I think of it as one who continues to pursue no matter how severe the situation or pain may become. Now, in other applications it may seem foolish. Yet, in this walk that is exactly what we must do. Push forward no matter how much it hurts. One day that pain will all be over. And lastly, one of my favorites “patience” or “take patiently”. We must humble ourselves and take the pain and suffer with patience. Which is not only the ability to wait per say but rather wait, or even endure with a good attitude. You have to look at everything you go through and still not allow it to break you down to the point that you cannot carry on. You have to keep going even when it hurts. It ain’t easy, but it is possible.
Psalm 147:3 KJVS
[3] He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
On this road, that you must endure. You will become broken at some point in time in your walk. It is part of the experience. You are human after all. Your mind, your spirit, or your body will at some point in time fatigue, burnout, become overwhelmed etc. But the Most High helps to heal all of our infirmities. He doesn’t want us to be left forsaken. He will comfort us, both through his word, his spirit and even our righteous community.
Psalm 34:19 KJVS
[19] Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
We have to go through many afflictions; many trials and tribulations. But the key is that The Most High will always be there to save you. All you have to do is keep the faith and believe in Him.
James 1:12 KJVS
[12] Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
All the temptations of this world you must endure. After you endure it you will receive a blessing. And if you continue through your trials, in the end you will receive eternal life. Which The Most High promised to us if we choose to love him in this present life, even if it may cost us our life!
2 Esdras 7:14–16 KJVA
14 If then they that live labour not to enter these strait and vain things, they can never receive those that are laid up for them. 15 Now therefore why disquietest thou thyself, seeing thou art but a corruptible man? and why art thou moved, whereas thou art but mortal? 16 Why hast thou not considered in thy mind this thing that is to come, rather than that which is present?
If we don’t endure the trials and the application of some of these laws we may find vain, trivial, or meaningless. We will never be able to receive the kingdom of the Most High. And we can’t allow ourselves to become anxious and disturbed about the process and oh if it were only easier. Only embrace it and accept it for what it is so we may patiently persevere and move forward. All other roads lead to death. And it’s not like we are going through all this for nothing. I am sure not one to want to put myself in a position where I den gave up or fell off and now I gotta hear, “depart from me I never knew you.” Or him separating the sheep from the goats and I ain’t with the sheep. Otherwise, you might as well had lived it up for the short time you had left. But we have to consider in our minds the world to come not this one that is present. Many times we get lost and distracted by this present world and can lose sight of the world to come. We can’t faint and lose consciousness. You better keep some spiritual coffee next to you so you can be alert and aware of where you are and where you’re going. Lest you start to morph from wheat to a tare.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 KJVS
[17] For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; [18] While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Our affliction when compared to the gift and promise of eternal life is only for a moment. And this affliction is light compared to some of the suffering it could be. We are not in a dark room for years being tortured everyday for hours in excruciating pain.
Wisdom of Solomon 19:22 KJVA For in all things, O Lord, thou didst magnify thy people, and glorify them, neither didst thou lightly regard them: but didst assist them in every time and place.
When it comes to us, the Most High does everything he can to righteously exalt us as long as we are serving him. He wants to do good for us. But everything has its time and place. We are precious to him, yet we must still be tried. A little trial and then a little blessing will yield immortal fruit.
Psalm 34:22 KJVS
[22] The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
The Most High will always fight for you as long as you fight for Him by keeping his laws. You must apply your faith through trusting in Him to allow Him to work through you.
Job 33:24,28-29 KJVS
[24] Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom. [28] He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light. [29] Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,
It is only through The Most High’s grace and mercy that we are saved from death; need it be physical or spiritual. He is more concerned with our spirit and saving us from damnation. Yet, this is not something to marvel at concerning strangeness. As this is something to appreciate as he does it oftentimes for us, even if we may not be aware of it.
Proverbs 21:18 KJVS
[18] The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.
Often times a life is lost. Yet, not ours, but their life must be taken. The Iives of the wicked are taken as sacrifices for the just. They die so we can live, yet they were already dead and their judgement was sealed. As God knows the heart of all flesh and who will repent and who will never change.
1 Peter 1:3-9 KJVS
[3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, [4] To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, [5] Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. [6] Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: [7] That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: [8] Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: [9] Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
We know by faith the reward to come from well doing. We have joy looking forward to the reward to come. Knowing it shall last forever and is reserved for us. It is only for a season, a brief time we are in sorrow and anguish. But our patience will yield immortal fruit.
Sirach 4:28 KJVA
Strive for the truth unto death, and the Lord shall fight for thee.
Never give up on this path. The race is not over until it is over. Don’t allow Satan to convince you otherwise. We endure until the end so The Most High can judge us and not we ourselves.
Proverbs 16:6 KJVS
[6] By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.
Even if we sin and fall short, The Most High can still forgive you and show mercy unto you if you sincerely repent and fight to be better and do better. Just keep a healthy level of fear so you don’t get too comfortable lest you be knee deep in sin.
Revelation 3:9-11 KJVS
[9] Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. [10] Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. [11] Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
It will be revealed that we are the true Jews. And the people that claim to be you are liars. And the world will see it, for The Most High will declare it. We that have kept The Most High’s word will be kept safe from the destruction to come. And from choosing sin when the world is in chaos. This is due to God’s love towards us, and not willing that any of us should perish. All we have to do is hold on. You have your ticket to the kingdom. Just don’t let any man, woman or child take it from you.
1 Corinthians 4:11-12 KJVS
[11] Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; [12] And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:
Even at this present time we lack, yet we have abundance. So we continue to endure and work awaiting the coming of our Lord and Savior.
2 Timothy 2:3 KJVS
[3] Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
We are soldiers in a spiritual war. We cannot die on this battlefield else we die eternally. We must persevere and help those to our left hand and right hand do the same. If we stumble, we shall not altogether fall. For the strength of those we surround ourselves with will help us to get up and keep moving.
1 Corinthians 9:24 KJVS
[24] Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
So we run this race to see it through until the end. With victory already being promised, all we have to do is stay the course and we will all finish strong.
1 Corinthians 9:26 KJVS
[26] I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
