Genesis 3:21 KJVS
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
When many people read this, they believe it is supporting evidence that Adam and Eve were literally walking around the Garden of Eden butt naked. But this is not the case. What we are reading here is symbolic.
Psalm 32:1 KJVS
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
God was showing us (and Adam and Eve at that time) that I forgive you for your sins and as a result of that forgiveness, I am choosing to cover you back with my spirit. Now it mentions goats skins in particular because goats are a clean animal. A clean animal was sacrificed and died so that Adam and Eve did not get put to death on the spot. And through the slaughtering of that animal, they are saved. Thus, the institution of the sacrificial law was born. We just read the symbolic abridged version.
Psalm 85:2 KJVS
Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.
The Most High is not an unmerciful God. He forgives sins often and allows us to be covered by him that we die not in our iniquity and have the ability to become one with him again.
Ezekiel 16:8 KJVS
Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.
Then Most High God went through this process with Adam and Eve. He saw them and looked upon them in their defiled state and decided that now they needed love. They were not in a good state. So he made sure to cover that debt of sin and as sheep, bring them back into the fold of his pasture.
Isaiah 61:10 KJVS
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
The Most High is clothing us spiritually. He clothes us with the garments of salvation and covers us with the robes of righteousness that we may be saved and perish not with this wicked world. That is a deep and sincere love through grace and mercy.
Deuteronomy 6:25 KJVS
And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.
We have to fight to continue to be righteous through thick and thin and maintain the law whole heartedly, so we may be accepted of God and be found worthy to enter into his kingdom.
