What happened to Eve? Well, what happened to her is what happens to many of us. You get enticed by an offer that sounds almost to good to be true. And it usually is.
Wisdom of Solomon 2:24 KJVA
Nevertheless through envy of the devil came death into the world: and they that do hold of his side do find it.
Eve may not have been as actively aware of this fact in her mind, but she was envious of something. Need it have been wrong or bad, that she felt she didn’t have but could somehow obtain.
Genesis 3:1 KJVS
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
One of the first rules is, divide and conquer. Let me isolate you, so I can begin to “work my magic” without any interference from someone who may ask the right questions. Let me question things you may already know to be true or false, so I can bring doubt into the picture.
Sirach 9:9 KJVA
Sit not at all with another man’s wife, nor sit down with her in thine arms, and spend not thy money with her at the wine; lest thine heart incline unto her, and so through thy desire thou fall into destruction.
This is how it starts. Even if it is not in a sexual way. The concept of alone time and proximity, is how things go from one place to another. You build a level of repoar and trust to be able to have someone, not only listen to you but become more inclined to move in the way you need them to move in.
Let us take a look at The Willie Lynch letter page 21 for another perspective.
The Negro Marriage Unit
“We breed two nigger males with two nigger females. Then we take the nigger males from them keep them moving and working. Say the one nigger female bear a nigger female and the other bears a nigger male. Both nigger females, being without the influence of the nigger image, froze with an independent psychology, will raise their offspring into reverse positions. The one with the female offspring will teach her to be like herself, independent and negotiable (we negotiate with her, through herm by her and negotiate at her will). The one with the nigger male offspring, she being frozen with a subconscious fear for his life, will raise him to be mentally dependent and weak, but physically strong – in other words, body over mind. Now, in a few years when these two offspring become fertile for early reproduction, we will mate and breed them and continue the cycle. That is good, sound, and long range comprehensive planning.”
Now why is this important? It highlights a plan and an agenda to destroy the house by infiltrating the female mind while the man is occupied or busy. No different than a sales tactic. Go door to door during the main working hours when the husband is gone, so I can hopefully convince the wife to make a purchase that I know a husband would more than likely turn down. As the objective is to say and do what is necessary to get the sale. Likewise, the objective is to isolate and corrupt with various psychological appeals to get you to make a move, that only later (usually when it is too late) you will regret.
Judges 14:15 KJVS
And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson's wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father's house with fire: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so?
You see, your enemy knows the game. If I am trying to conquer something strong, I need to find out the weak points and attack those first. Notice how the men picked a time when the man would be nowhere in sight, so they could push the agenda they wanted to push. If she was really backing her husband, she could have easily returned their words upon their own head. And let them know, as it seems like they forgot, who her husband is and how he gets down. And at the least, she could have played the part and informed him of the details later so he could handle it. But instead, she decided to side with them, being enemies unto her house. Threatening her life and that of her families. She didn’t trust in her husband’s strength and skill, let alone his counsel. But took matters into her own hands.
Matthew 12:29 KJV
Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
Christ said it best. If you are looking to overcome a formidable foe. You need to find a way to bind them first; restrict them, slow them down, hinder them. Then I can move unrestricted and gain an advantage, that can ultimately be enough of a catalyst to allow me to win the battle, if not the war. And that was exactly how Satan was moving. We are the ones that lose sight and become blinded by the agenda.
2 Samuel 13:1-8 KJVS
And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.
Hold up, hard stop. Let us take this precept, upon precept. So Absalom and Tamar shared the same mother and father. But Amnon only shared the same father. He was what some would say, a half sibling. But he loved his sister Tamar as more than just a sibling; romantically.
[2] And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do any thing to her.
Amnon was going through it. But at this point with him being so vexed and feeling so strongly. He needed to fast and pray to bring his spirit back into humility. But even in this state, he wasn’t yet in a place to act on his feelings. But wait!
[3] But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man.
Now you have friends, associates, even family members, that are able to influence you. And some of them (shoot, a lot of them) ain’t right. Can’t be trusted for certain things. And you certainly can’t talk to them about certain things. They are too crafty. Moving like snakes.
[4] And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king's son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister. [5] And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.
See, all it takes is the right (or wrong) individual, to give you just what you need to hear, to validate your feelings or your course of action. And to make it worse, this man was family! His friend and family member was the very person provoking him and leading him down the highway to hell.
[6] So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand. [7] Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon's house, and dress him meat. [8] So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.
See, once you get corrupted, you will play the part around everyone else as a means to an end. And the people that have truly been in your corner, you will ignore them. Ignore all the people close to you. Yet, side with the suspicious individual. Side with the person you know significantly less.
2 Samuel 13:11-16 KJVS
[11] And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister. [12] And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly. [13] And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee. [14] Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her. [15] Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone. [16] And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.
Amnon was enticed and moved in the spirit of his feelings and his own vain thoughts. He got enough of the words he needed to hear to be able to act on those feelings. And even in the midst of him in the situation and receiving counsel and warning. He was too far gone. He couldn’t be reached. And at the end of that road, you will not find happiness. Only sorrow, anger, grief etc. For the spirit that compelled you, was not that of the Holy Spirit but of an evil spirit. So the joy is short lived and only pleases the flesh, but for a moment. Yet, the spirit shall suffer many times more. Both in this life and if one does not repent (and God accepts), even in the next.
Deuteronomy 13:6-10 KJVS
If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; [7] Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; [8] Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: [9] But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. [10] And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
It ain’t even always about did I commit the act. But how serious were you in your plans to perform it. I may not have robbed the bank but can be guilty if I took the time to; get an escape car, find a get away driver, weapons, a mask, a map of entry and exit points. Now I am in a place where I am warranting my own arrest. God is saying the same thing here. That person who is trying to seriously convince you to go left, is just as guilty as the person that went left. And it mentions family for two reasons. 1. It be the people closest to you, that often times be trying to lead you astray. 2. Blood is not thicker than the spirit. Nothing comes before or above The Most High God. You have to remember that all of your family ain’t really your family.
Deuteronomy 1:38-40 KJVS
But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it. [39] Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it. [40] But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.
Listening to the wrong people and taking on the wrong mindset and spirit, will have you outside the kingdom. The Most High has no problem rejecting you. We need him, he doesn’t need us.
Genesis 3:2-3 KJVS
And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: [3] But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
And this will lead us into our next segment… The man lied.
